A very, very unique event is planned at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs on Saturday evening, January 20, 2018! Please look at the following information concerning a special dinner honoring “A Legacy of Ice.”
Peggy Fleming Jenkins will be celebrated at the gala in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of her winning the Olympic Gold Medal in Grenoble France during the 10th Olympic Winter Games and the Broadmoor will be kicking off its Centennial year celebration too.
The evening will salute the Broadmoor Skating Club and all who came to coach and train at the Broadmoor Ice Palace, later renamed the Broadmoor World Arena (see attached photos). A portion of the proceeds benefits the U.S. Figure Skating Memorial Fund and the U.S.A. Hockey Foundation in support of the next generation of athletes.
While booking information is found on the above website, please note that there is a special phone number to call if you want to talk with a reservationist, make special arrangements, stay Saturday and Sunday nights, sit at someone’s table, or for group table requests. The number is 866-280-0257, Ext 3. Overall, it may be best to call the reservationist and not do the booking online.
Also, if you are booking the room package online, which includes dinner tickets, then you should call Dining Reservations at 866-381-8432 to make any seating requests. Note, the online room booking is for Saturday night only. If you want to stay additional nights, call the reservationist at 866-280-0257, Ext 3. We recommend booking early. There are a very limited number of rooms available for Friday night.
We could create a table for CSC Members if we know there will be at least 10 coming from the club. I will be sending and asking that DFSC and Mile High put this out too. Tickets to the event only are $100 per seat – if you are staying at the hotel – it is of course the cost of room plus tickets for number of people in the room.
Please let us know if you are interested in the table for CSC members! Click here
