What is Club Ice?
Club Ice is ice time purchased about once a month for the benefit of CSC members. It is usually held on a Saturday morning from October to March. Our Club Ice Committee Chair schedules coaches primarily from SSIA/FSC offering educational and fun classes from edge work, jumps, spins, performance polish and more. Club Ice is open to new and renewed full/associate members from CSC and DFSC. It is a club member benefit – no charge for club members regardless of the Club Ice host.
CSC/DFSC Club Ice Sessions are open to all members of both clubs at no charge.

1/27/18 Colorado Skating Club – guest coaches, Laura and Justin Gaumond – Pairs Basics (open to all CSC/DFSC, not just those in Pairs discipline!)
Join us Saturday morning January 27 as we focus on ‘Working Together On The Ice’. We welcome our guest coaches Justin Gaumond and his wonderful wife Laura Doty Gaumond at South Suburban Ice arena where they will teach us invaluable lessons in skating pairs cooperation and moves with other skaters. Justin has been coaching since 2005, was the principal pair Skater for Willy Bietak Productions/Royal Caribbean International, and is a USFSA triple medalist with MIF, Singles, and Pairs. He has been an international and national competitor in pairs and would like to introduce many of our members to pairs skating and how that can be applied through Showtime On Ice and other areas.
Skating does not have to be exclusively an individual sport. Skating next to, jumping next to, or spinning next to another person is very common even if you are not a pair skater. You will definitely experience this in Showtime On Ice and in professional shows if you choose to go that route. Join me, Justin Gaumond with the help of Laura Doty Gaumond to learn some pair skating basics!
